Thanksgiving 2007

The weekend before Thanksgiving, I stayed home to study while Ali went hiking. This photo shows the fog in the Valley, from where Ali went hiking near Russian Ridge.








We were 23 at Thanksgiving Dinner this year: Armaz, Angelique & Antonya arrived from D.C. on Tuesday; Maman, Afkham, Karim, Nima, & Nastaran drove up from Irvine and arrived Wednesday evening; Aaliyah, Vestienn, Raisah & Kian arrived from Seattle at noon on Thursday; Anajali, Ashish, & Mira drove down from S.F.; and Shophar, Golhan, & Sheffi came from the East Bay. Kirsten, Steve & Dahlia just crossed the landing from next door.

Tom, our "guest of honor," weighed in at 23.75 lbs before the stuffing. (I don't know where he came from originally, but Ali & I met him at the Safeway in Mountain View.) Anjali made six pies, Shophar & Golhan brought a couple more, and Kirsten brought a gluten-free chocolate cake, so there were plenty of desserts to choose from.


After dinner only the youngest had energy left for chasing Angelique's bubbles, but it was fun to watch.

Speaking of watching, Nastaran has started a website called SeeTheCook.com. She brought her video recorder and has immortalized the preparations of our holiday meal for your amusement (here).
